On May 16 and 17 the Envision Montgomery 2040 Planning Team conducted more than 25 interviews with leaders from across Montgomery in the Life Sciences building at Alabama State University. Over the hours of conversations, the Team drilled on key questions related to community strengths, challenges, and shared opportunities. Each of these sessions was organized around a topic within the Comprehensive Plan or an important interest area. This information will be used by the Team to form research questions that will be explored through strategic analysis.

Following the Listening & Learning interviews, the Steering Committee held its third meeting of the process. During the session, members of the Planning Team introduced their initial findings related to economics, transportation, and other plan topics. This information, like all meeting materials, is available on the Documents page.

The Planning Team will coordinate additional Listening & Learning sessions throughout the summer with neighborhood leadership and other interest groups. If you would like to organize a meeting and contribute to the plan, please contact Kyle May,, (614) 586-1500, to arrange a session.
